Hey! I’m glad you’re here.
What are you likely to find?
Reflections and rants on religion and rot, misogyny and abuse.
Ponderings on the patterns of sexual abuse and cover-ups in the Southern Baptist Convention.
Musings on survivorship and life.
And maybe a bit on current events to boot.
Whatever the particulars, I hope you’ll feel a sense that I’m in solidarity with you, especially those of you who are #ChurchToo survivors.
Resistance against oppressive forces is energy in the universe that is never wasted. This I believe. This motivates much of what I write.
Coming to you from the Rocky Mountains. In solidarity. Thanks for reading!
Following you here in north Alabama. Thanks for your work Christa!
My lifetime in south Mississippi is filled with wonderful Baptist memories, as well as haunting episodes of racism, patriarchy, misogyny, and abuse within congregations I hold near and dear.
My little family is recovering well, connecting more with welcoming Methodist, Baptist, liturgical and charismatic siblings who are on a similar reconstruction journey.
Blessings to all. 🕊☀️
